Most calls to us start the same way. The mower won't start. You turn the key and it won't turn over. The battery seems dead, or it has to be jumped every time you run it. Or it starts but won't drive.

Sometimes the mower threw a belt. Sometimes you hit something while mowing, and now it won't start or the blades won't engage. Chainsaws bog down. String trimmers run for a while and then die.

Call or text to schedule a drop off or pickup. Drop offs are by appointment only.

STEP 2

Diagnosis

Diagnosis costs $75 an hour, with a 30 minute minimum. Most take 30 to 60 minutes. There's no flat diagnostic fee, so you only pay for the time your equipment actually takes.

STEP 3

Estimate

Before we make any repairs, we call you with a detailed estimate. What we found, why it matters, what your options are, and what we can do about it.

STEP 4

Repair

Turnaround on repairs is about two weeks. We place parts orders every week, and summer can run longer.

STEP 5

Get Back Up & Running!

Get ready to get your equipment back to work! Schedule with us to pick it up, or we can deliver it.

Should I repair or replace it?

This is the question most people have about their tools.

We’re a family-owned repair business, not a dealer. And we get it. Which is why if it's not worth fixing, we'll tell you.

Here’s what we suggest: compare your repair estimate to the price of a brand new machine, not a used one. That’s because used equipment often comes with hidden problems and repair bills of its own (trust us on that one!)

If the repair is a small part of what a new one costs, fixing the machine you already know is usually the better deal. If it's a big chunk of that price, the money may be better spent on a new one with a warranty.

Pickup & Delivery Available

No trailer, no problem. We can pick up and deliver your equipment!

We don't do repairs at your house. Our shop is set up to do the work right, and the field isn't. If you have a big machine and no way to get it to us, we'll come get it.

$50 round trip covers most equipment delivery in Mars Hill, Weaverville, Asheville, Black Mountain, and Swannanoa (anywhere along the Black Mountain → Mars Hill 40/240/26 corridor). We can go farther for a per mile charge.

Repair Cost

Everything bills hourly at $75 an hour. Nothing gets flat rated, because every repair is different. We’ll provide you an estimate based on what your equipment needs.
